Embracing Stewardship

Wealth management is not just about accumulating money but about stewardship. To highlight the importance of managing God-given resources responsibly, let’s draw discuss the Parable of the Talents as shared in the Holy Book.

“In the Parable of the Talents, Jesus illustrates the importance of faithful stewardship, commending those who multiplied their talents and condemning the one who buries his out of fear”. This story emphasizes accountability and diligence in using the resources entrusted to us.

Faithful stewardship in wealth creation would mean us avoiding any form of wastage. Waste can be in the form of laziness with talents or skills, being a procrastinator, being a timewaster, being an impulsive buyer, taking things for granted, treating opportunities shabbily, etc.

No matter how much you already have, a fundamental principle to wealth building is – Do not waste!

We must manage responsibly the available resources whether they are tangible or intangible, few or lavish, recognizing our role as stewards rather than owners.
